Bangladesh Mob Lynching Case Police Action: A news that puts humanity to shame has come out from Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. Here, a Hindu youth, Dipu Chandra Das, was brutally beaten to death by a furious mob on charges of blasphemy. The brutality did not stop here, after death the young man’s body was dragged on the road, stripped naked and then set on fire. This incident has shocked the entire world. However, after this barbaric act, the Muhammad Yunus government of Bangladesh has come into action and the police has taken action and arrested 7 accused.
The deceased has been identified as Dipu Chandra Das, 27, who worked at Pioneer Knitwears Limited. This heart-wrenching incident took place on the night of 18th December in Bhaluka area, when an alleged argument with a co-worker during work at the factory took a horrific turn. Within no time a violent mob of 1500 to 2000 people gathered outside the factory. The situation was so uncontrollable that even the police and army personnel who reached the spot appeared helpless in front of this furious crowd and had to retreat to save their lives.
The cruelty did not stop even after death
The mob broke the gate of the factory, pulled Deepu out and beat him until he died. But the anger of the savage crowd did not subside. They stripped the body and dragged it to the Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway and hung it from a pole on the divider. There was a celebratory atmosphere there for about two hours and finally the scoundrels poured kerosene on the dead body and set it on fire. In the viral video on social media, the young man was seen begging for his life, but the mob took the law into their own hands and killed humanity. Later, after a lot of effort, the administration extinguished the fire and took possession of the body.
