Pakistan supported terrorist network active again in Bangladesh, claims of 3 training camps near India border

Bangladesh Terror Camps: The reactivation of Pakistan-backed terrorist network in Bangladesh has increased the concern of security agencies of India and South Asia. According to intelligence and various reports, a total of 8 terrorist training camps are being operated in different parts of Bangladesh. Three of these camps are said to be very close to the Indian border, which has further deepened the threat of cross-border terrorism.

According to reports, these camps are directly or indirectly supported by Pakistan-backed networks, Jamaat-e-Islami and other fundamentalist organizations. A major camp located in Lalkhan area of ​​Chittagong is being linked to Ansar al-Islam and Lashkar-e-Taiba. It is being told that this camp is being run by Harun Izhar and former Major Zia of Pakistani Army. This area is located very close to the border of Tripura and Mizoram of India.

Indications of ISI’s role

Suspicious activities have also been recorded in some madrassas located in Dhaka’s Basila and Mohammadpur, although the identity of the terrorist organizations operating at these places is not yet clear. At the same time, there have been indications of the role of Islamic student organization Shibir and Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI in Dhaka’s Tamir-ul-Millat Madrasa.

Threat to regional security increased

Information about the activation of Jamaatul Ansar Phil Hindal’s camp in Chittagong Hill Tracts area has come to light. This organization is said to be supported by radical networks like Shamin Mahfuz. Reports also claim that the group has links with the KNF and the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA). This area is very close to the Tripura and Myanmar border, due to which the threat to regional security has increased.

Apart from this, the presence of Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen bases is being said in the river bank and four other areas. ISIS-inspired Neo-JMB is being counted among the most violent terrorist organizations in Bogra and Chapainwabganj areas. These areas are adjacent to the Malda-Murshidabad belt of West Bengal. At the same time, efforts to recruit youth and spread radical ideology through Hizb-ut-Tahrir are said to be intensifying in the residential halls of Dhaka.

Hasina’s son also expressed concern

Sajib Wajed Joy, son of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has also made serious allegations regarding these terrorist camps. Joy says that fundamentalist forces are getting a free hand in Bangladesh, due to which Pakistan-backed terrorist networks are getting stronger again. According to him, this situation is a big threat to the peace and security of not only Bangladesh but India and the entire South Asia.
