Bangladesh team announced for ODI series against Afghanistan, Shakib Al Hasan not included in the squad
sports desk : Bangladesh has announced its team for the three-match ODI series between Bangladesh and Afghanistan. Nazmul Hasan Shanto has been made the captain for this series. At first Shanto was not ready to become the captain but the board officials have convinced him. Mehndi Hasan will captain in the Test and the name of the captain in T20 has not been decided yet.
Bangladesh's first match against Afghanistan will be played on 6 November. The second match will be played on 9th and the third match will be played on 11th November. All three matches of the series will be played at Sharjah Stadium in Dubai. Bangladesh fast bowler Nahid Rana has also been included in this team. Whereas wicketkeeper batsman Liton Das has not got a place in the team due to his ill health. Fast bowler Tanzim Shakib has also not recovered from his shoulder injury.
Shakib will return to international cricket after T10
BCB president Farooq revealed that Shakib Al Hasan was already available for the ODI series against Afghanistan, but he felt that he was not ready to take the burden of international cricket. Shakib had expressed his desire to end his career during the Test series against South Africa, but was unable to return home due to security reasons.

“Shakib is a professional player and he felt that playing without training would not be fair to him and the country,” Farooq said. He also informed that Shakib is considering participating in the T10 league to be held in UAE and after that will consider the possibility of returning to international cricket.
