BCCI’s order to KKR

The BCCI Secretary informed about the Board’s order in a statement given to the media on Saturday, January 3. Saikia said, “BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said, “In view of the recent developments, BCCI has directed the franchise KKR to release one of their Bangladeshi players, Mustafizur Rahman, from their team”. Fans got angry at Shahrukh and KKR

This order of BCCI has come after the recent developments, where there was opposition from social media to the streets against the inclusion of Mustafizur Rahman in IPL. In fact, in the last few weeks, many Hindus in Bangladesh have been selectively killed one by one by the majority Muslim population there. Since then there is an atmosphere of anger against Bangladesh in the country.
In such a situation, when Kolkata bought Mustafizur in the auction, there was opposition to it. Especially KKR and its owner Shahrukh Khan had to hear a lot of good and bad from people on social media. Recently, BJP leader Sangeet Som had even called Shahrukh Khan a traitor. Due to continuously increasing opposition, BCCI finally had to take this decision.
Will Team India tour Bangladesh?

However, this has now raised the question whether the series between India and Bangladesh to be held later this year will continue or will it also be cancelled. A day earlier, Bangladesh Cricket Board had announced that in the month of August-September, the Indian team will tour Bangladesh for a series of 3 ODI and 3 T20 matches. This tour was supposed to take place last year but due to the ongoing uproar and violence in Bangladesh, the cricket boards of both the countries had postponed it to 2026. Now questions have also been raised on the future of this series.
