Bangladeshi player Rahman will not play in IPL, important decision of BCCI
New Delhi, January 3, 2026: There is anger among Indians due to the continuous targeting of Hindus by fundamentalists in violence-hit Bangladesh. Not only this, there has been a demand to not include Bangladeshi players in the next IPL. Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has taken an important decision regarding Bangladesh player Mustafizur Rahman. BCCI has directed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) to remove Rahman from their squad.
BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia had said that, keeping in mind the current situation, the board has taken a decision to remove Rahman from the KKR squad. Recently, in the mini auction organized by IPL, KKR bought Rahman for Rs. Bought it by paying a huge amount of Rs 9.20 crore.
It is worth mentioning here that last year, on the pretext of student movement, Haseena Shekhni government was toppled. After which Mohammad Yunus was handed over the command of the interim government. During this period the fundamentalists became more agitated. Also, for the last few days, Hindus are being continuously targeted by fundamentalists. Whose siege is in India. The government had also expressed concern over the atrocities on Hindus.
On the other hand, KKR had included Bangladeshi bowler Rahman in its team. As a result, cricket lovers expressed their displeasure against this decision of KKR. Also, there were continuous demands to remove Bangladeshi cricketers from IPL. However, there was anger among the countrymen as no effective action was taken by BCCI and KKR. Meanwhile, today an important decision has been taken by BCCI regarding Rahman.
