Bangladesh’s tantrum over playing matches in India, Pakistan hints at reconsidering participation in the World Cup

Bangladesh Cricket Board has expressed its opposition to the World Cup matches being held in India and has requested the ICC to hold its matches in Sri Lanka. Bangladesh also proposed that if this was not possible, then its group should be swapped with a team with all its matches in Sri Lanka. A team named Ireland was considered for this change, but Ireland flatly refused it.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has increased its role in the matter and threatened to reconsider its participation in the T20 World Cup if the Bangladesh issue is not resolved. However, Pakistan has not yet officially issued any statement regarding this, nor has the ICC made any comment on it.

According to a report, Bangladesh has now sought diplomatic and cricket-related support from Pakistan. The government of Bangladesh has contacted Pakistani officials and sought their help for participation in the T20 World Cup. According to sources, Pakistan has assured Bangladesh that if the issue of Bangladesh is not resolved, then Pakistan will reconsider its team’s participation in the World Cup.
