The month of April begins with a bank holiday. Most of the banks are closed as April 1st is the last day of the financial year. On this day, banks complete their annual audit and accounts, so there are no transactions between branches. Apart from this, there will be several days of holidays in the month of April due to various festivals. Banks in Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram cities will remain closed on April 2 Maundy. Also, since April 3 is Good Friday, banks will also be closed in most cities.

On April 14, Dr. Banks will remain closed in many parts of the country due to Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti, Baisakhi and Tamil New Year. April 15 will also be a holiday in select cities for Bengali New Year, Bohag Bihu, Vishu and Himachal Day. April 16 will be Bohag Bihu holiday in Guwahati. However, to the relief of customers, internet banking, mobile banking and UPI services will continue, so transactions like money transfer, bill payment can be done easily.
