Bank Holiday: If you are planning to go to the branch this week then read this news first.

If you have made up your mind to go to the bank this week, just wait! It is very important to read this news so that you do not have to visit bank branches. Between July 13 and July 19, 2026, banks are going to remain closed for 4 consecutive days in different states and cities of the country. Whether your account is in SBI, HDFC, ICICI or PNB – this rule of holidays will be applicable to all.

According to the official holiday list of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), these holidays have been decided according to regional festivals and states. In such a situation, before leaving for important work like check clearance, KYC or making a draft, it would be better to know whether the bank is open in your city or not.

holiday schedule this week

Banking operations will remain normal at the beginning of the week i.e. 13, 14 and 15 July. After this, the series of holidays will start from July 16, which will continue till July 19 in different cities:

16 July (Thursday): Banks will remain closed in Dehradun (Uttarakhand) and Imphal (Manipur) due to Harela festival. At the same time, there will be a holiday in banks on the occasion of ‘Rath Yatra’ in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.

17 July (Friday): There will be no functioning of banks in Meghalaya’s capital Shillong due to ‘U Tirot Singh Day’.

18 July (Saturday): Bank branches will remain closed in Gangtok, Sikkim due to ‘Drukpa Tshe-ji’ festival.

19 July (Sunday): This is a weekly holiday, due to which banks will remain closed across the country.

Branches closed, still how to complete the work?

The good thing is that despite the branch being closed due to festivals, you will not face any financial problem. All digital services of the bank will remain operational 24/7. You can use mobile banking, internet banking, UPI and ATM without any hesitation as before.

If you want to transfer funds, you can do NEFT, RTGS or IMPS through net banking or mobile app even on holidays. Just keep in mind that RTGS transfers done manually by visiting the branch will not be processed during these holidays, but any transaction done through the online platform will be processed instantly.
