Because public and private sector banks in the country will be closed for four consecutive days this week. The Reserve Bank of India i.e. RBI has announced the bank holiday calendar for the month of June. According to this calendar, bank branches in many states will remain closed for a few days due to religious festivals, regional festivals and regular weekly holidays.

When will the banks be closed?

Bank branches in Vijayawada will remain closed on the occasion of Muharram on June 25.

Then on June 26, banks will be closed in many major cities of the country due to Muharram. These include the cities of Agartala, Aizawl, Belapur, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jammu, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi and Srinagar.

These services will continue

Even if the bank branches are closed, customers need not worry. Because online banking, mobile banking, internet banking, UPI, ATM, debit card and credit card services will continue to function.

You can use UPI apps to send or receive money to anyone. Apart from this, facilities like fund transfer, bill payment, mobile recharge, account balance check through internet banking will be available 24 hours a day. Bank Holidays

However, sometimes scheduled maintenance works are carried out by banks. In such cases the online services may be temporarily closed for some time. Therefore, customers are advised not to leave important transactions till the last moment.
