Bankipur by-election stir intensifies, RJD and BJP candidates will file nomination today
The bugle for Bihar’s Bankipur Assembly by-election has been sounded, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Abhishek Kumar and Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Rekha Gupta will file their nomination papers for Bankipur Assembly by-election. During this period, big leaders of NDA and Grand Alliance will be present.
BJP candidate Abhishek Kumar will file nomination today for Bankipur assembly by-election. He will leave from his residence on Boring Road at 9:30 am. First of all, he will reach Naveen Sinha Park in Shastri Nagar and garland the statue of former MLA Naveen Kishore Sinha (Nitin Naveen’s father).
After this, he will perform darshan and worship at Hanuman Temple in Rajvanshi Nagar and Bans Ghat Kali Temple, after which he will reach Patna Collectorate at 11 am and file his nomination. Preparations are on to organize the nomination as a show of strength.
At the same time, Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Rekha Gupta will also file her nomination papers today. Rekha Gupta will file nomination at the Collectorate in Patna today at 11:30 am. Prominent leaders of all the parties of the Grand Alliance will be present during this period. Congress leaders will also be present.
However, Congress had also contested this seat and there was a dispute with RJD, but as per the orders received from the High Command, Congress has now decided to support the RJD candidate. The Grand Alliance will demonstrate unity. In last year’s assembly elections, RJD candidate Rekha Gupta from Grand Alliance had contested from this seat, however, she had to face defeat.
Let us tell you that voting will be held on this high profile seat of Patna district on 30th July, results will come on 3rd August. Whereas, the process of filing nomination has started from July 6, candidates will be able to file nomination papers till July 13. Let us tell you that this seat had become vacant after BJP National President Nitin Naveen went to Rajya Sabha, Nitin Naveen had resigned from the post of MLA.
Since 1995, BJP has been winning this seat continuously. Nitin has been in the possession of Naveen family. Nitin Naveen’s father Naveen Kishore Prasad Sinha was elected MLA from here for 4 consecutive times. After his death, Nitin Naveen won the by-election in 2006 and since then he became MLA from the same seat for 5 consecutive times.
