Explosive knocks from Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubey and the finishing touches from Hardik Pandya saw India post 253 for 7 in the second semi-final of the ongoing T20 World Cup and set a target of 254 to win against England. Batting first, India got off to a poor start after losing the toss. But then Sanju Samson and Ishan Kishan started strongly. They put on a partnership of 97 runs off 45 balls for the second wicket.

Sanju Departed with 89 off 42 balls, which included 8 fours and 7 sixes. Apart from them, Shivam Dubey scored 43 off 25 balls, Hardik 27 off 12 balls and Tilak 21 off 27 balls. This is the highest score by any team in a T20 World Cup knockout round and the fourth highest total in a T20 World Cup.
