Barabanki Crime News: A sensational incident has come to light from Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, where a minor dispute took a dangerous turn. According to the information, after a fight over ‘free papdi’, miscreants sprinkled petrol on a hotel and set it on fire at midnight.

This entire incident was captured in CCTV camera, the video of which is now going viral on social media. The victim shopkeeper alleges that the attackers were drunk and along with setting the shop on fire, they also fired in the air while waving weapons, which spread panic in the area.

Shop set on fire for not giving papdi after Golgappa

The incident is being reported from Chakhar village of Mati police station area, where some youth had come to Abhishek Yadav’s hotel on Wednesday night to eat Golgappa. According to eyewitnesses, after eating, the youth asked for free papdi, due to which a dispute started. The matter escalated so much that the youth assaulted and threatened them and went away.

About one and a half hour later, at around 1:30 in the night, they returned again and poured petrol on the shutters and counter of the hotel and set them on fire. Within a short time the shop was burnt to ashes, while the people nearby could not come out due to fear.

Police said- strict action will be taken after identifying the accused

Even after several hours of the incident, questions are being raised regarding the delay in police action. However, Superintendent of Police Arpit Vijayvargiya has assured investigation into the matter and said that strict action will be taken after identifying the accused on the basis of CCTV footage.

This incident has once again raised questions on the safety and law and order of small traders. Local people have warned that if action is not taken soon, they will be forced to agitate.
