Maulana of Bareilly (UP) has expressed displeasure over Bollywood actress Nusrat Bharucha’s visit to Mahakal temple in Ujjain. Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi said that actress Nusrat Bharucha has committed a ‘big sin’ by worshiping in the Mahakal temple. Therefore Nusrat should regret going there.

Actually, recently Nusrat had gone to Mahakal temple located in Ujjain, MP. As soon as his pictures went viral on social media, a section of people turned against him. Maulana Shahabuddin said, “Nusrat Bharucha went to the Mahakal temple in Ujjain, performed puja, offered water and followed the religious traditions there. Islam does not permit all these actions. Sharia dictates that Nusrat should repent, recite istaghfar and recite Kalma. She has acted against the principles of Islam. Therefore, she has come under the ambit of Sharia and is guilty of a serious major sin. For her It is necessary to repent.”

New Year’s celebration is illegitimate’

Let us tell you that earlier Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi had released a video and appealed to the people of Muslim community not to celebrate the New Year. He termed it as wasteful expenditure and said that the celebration of New Year is illegitimate in the light of Shariat. This statement of Maulana has become a topic of discussion on social media.

He had also said that the year of the Islamic calendar starts from the month of Muharram. Similarly, the year of Hindu calendar starts from the month of Chaitra. It is European culture to celebrate New Year on 31 December or 1 January. In the name of New Year celebrations, there is mischief, noise, uproar, dancing and singing on the night of 31st December. All these things are not allowed in Shariat. If news of celebration is received from anywhere, the Ulama will strictly stop it.
