Rapid attacks on American military bases, Trump’s big announcement – will compensate from Iran’s seized money

Washington/Baghdad. Tension is at its peak in the Middle East after the ceasefire agreement between America and Iran ended. Iran is continuously targeting American military bases located in many countries including Iraq. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has made a big announcement saying that compensation for any damage caused to American properties and ships in the Middle East will be recovered from the money seized from Iran.

US President Donald Trump posted on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’ and wrote that whatever damage is being caused to American ships, cargo or properties during this war, it will be 100 percent compensated from the freeze fund of Iran under the control of America. Trump has termed this step as completely ‘just and fair’.

Iran expressed strong objection

On Trump’s decision, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has called it a very dangerous and ‘provocative precedent’. The Iranian Foreign Minister has warned that seizing the assets of a sovereign country in this way could cause massive chaos in the international financial system.

Attacks on American bases in many countries including Iraq

Since the ceasefire was broken, the US Army has been facing heavy attacks in Iraq and its surrounding areas. Let us tell you that the American military base located near Irbil International Airport in Iraq was attacked with an explosive drone, due to which flights at the airport had to be disrupted as a precautionary measure. However, the US Army shot down many drones in the air. Apart from Iraq, Iran has also fired ballistic missiles and suicide drones at the US Navy’s ‘Fifth Fleet’ bases in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain.

America’s fierce retaliation

Let us tell you that in response to these attacks, the US Air Force, under the leadership of US Central Command (CENTCOM), is continuously bombing Iran. The US has claimed that it has destroyed more than 80 strategic military structures, including Iran’s air defense systems, missile depots and drone launch pads.
