Police station Meja has successfully busted the incident of battery theft from an ATM located in village Sonar Ka Tara and arrested three accused. Police have recovered three stolen batteries, a mobile phone, Rs 3,870 in cash and an auto rickshaw used in the incident from the possession of the accused.
According to the police, after receiving information about theft of batteries from the ATM located in village Sonar Ka Tara of Meja area, a case was registered and investigation was started. A police team was formed to uncover the incident. During the investigation, the police identified three suspects on the basis of technical evidence, informer’s information and investigation conducted at the local level.
The police team took immediate action and arrested all three accused. During interrogation, the accused admitted to stealing the battery from the ATM. On their trail, the police recovered three stolen batteries, a mobile phone, Rs 3,870 in cash and the auto rickshaw used in the theft.
