Due to the demise of the former Prime Minister, Bangladesh Cricket Board has postponed the matches to be played in Bangladesh Premier League on Tuesday. This announcement was made some time after the death of Khaleda Zia.

Bangladesh Cricket Board said in a statement, ‘BCB gratefully remembers Khaleda Zia’s blessings and good wishes for the progress of cricket in this country. During his tenure as Prime Minister, he contributed greatly to the development of cricket in Bangladesh. His cooperation helped in improving the structure of cricket in the country and helped in the development of the game across the country. The board postponed today’s match out of respect

“In view of the nation’s mourning and out of respect for the legacy of Begum Khaleda Zia, it is announced that Tuesday’s matches in the Bangladesh Premier League will be postponed,” the board said. The matches will be rescheduled. Information about new dates of matches will be given at the appropriate time.” Two matches were to be played in the Bangladesh Premier League on Tuesday. The first match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium was to be played between Sylhet Titans and Chittagong Royals from 12:30 pm, while the second match was to be played between Dhaka Capitals and Rangpur Riders from 5:30 pm.
