Bengaluru: The 93rd annual meeting of the Indian Cricket Board is going to be held today on Sunday. Important issues will be discussed in this meeting and in this meeting two representatives of India will have to be elected in the ICC meetings. Along with this, issues like annual budget will also be discussed.

However, if we talk about the issue of the new secretary, Jay Shah, who recently became the ICC chairman from secretary, is not ready to talk about this agenda yet.

Patel ahead in the race

The main issue of ICC will be to choose the Indian representative through this meeting. For this, currently two names are at the forefront. For this, two names, Gujarat Cricket Association Secretary Anil Patel and Delhi and District Cricket Association President Rohan Jaitley are being considered. It is being said that among these two, Patel is leading in this race.

This meeting is very important for the ICC because the ICC Conclave is going to be held in Dubai after the Women's T20 World Cup in UAE from October 3. The final of the Women's T20 World Cup will be held in Dubai on October 20 and till then Jay Shah will remain the Secretary of BCCI. Jay Shah will take over the post of ICC Chairman from December 1.

Many important issues will be discussed in this BCCI meeting. These will also include the inclusion of two representatives of the Indian Cricket Association in the AGM and the General Assembly, appointment of sub-committees and approval of the annual budget for 2024-25.

Apart from this, Shah has been representing India in ICC meetings since the end of Sourav Ganguly's tenure as BCCI President. Current board president Roger Binny is an alternate director who can represent the BCCI at ICC meetings but this has not happened yet.
