BCCI angry with a decision of Sanju Samson! Will Pattu be dropped from the Champions Trophy squad?

The last few months in international cricket have been very good for Team India's wicketkeeper batsman Sanju Samson. Sanju's performance in the series against Bangladesh and South Africa was strong. Samson has also been included in the Indian team selected for the T20 series against England starting from January 22. However, BCCI is very angry with this decision of Sanju. According to media reports, Samson may also be ignored from the Champions Trophy squad due to his decision.

Sanju's decision should not be burdensome.

According to reports, Sanju Samson has decided not to play in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and the Indian Cricket Board is very angry with the decision of this Kerala batsman. These days there is a lot of discussion about domestic cricket in Indian cricket. Everyone from junior to senior players is being advised to participate in domestic cricket. Samson's decision of not playing in Vijay Hazare may backfire. Samson informed the Kerala Cricket Association that he would not be able to participate in Vijay Hazare's preparatory camp. After this he was not selected in the team for this 50 over domestic tournament.

Otherwise it may be difficult for Samson

A BCCI source said, “The selectors and the board are very clear about the importance of domestic cricket. Last year, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer lost their central contracts due to not playing domestic cricket. In Samson's case too, no proper reason was given to the selectors and the board as to why he did not play in the tournament. The selectors will need a good reason, otherwise problems may arise for Samson.

Performed strongly in South Africa series

Sanju Samson's bat spoke volumes in the four-match T20 series against South Africa. Sanju scored 216 runs in 4 matches at an average of 72 and strike rate of 194. Sanju scored two centuries in the series. Earlier, the wicketkeeper batsman had also made a lot of noise in the series played against Bangladesh. Samson will now have a chance to leave his mark in the five-match T20 series against England.
