With this win, India successfully defended their T20 World Cup title and became the first team to win back-to-back titles in the history of the tournament.
Team India created history by winning the T20 World Cup for the third time. Earlier, India had won this trophy in 2007 and 2024. With the victory of 2026, the Indian team has become the most successful team in the history of T20 World Cup. West Indies and England have won the T20 World Cup twice so far.
