T20 World Cup 2026: BCCI has announced a big reward for the Indian team which created history by winning the T20 World Cup for the second consecutive time. The board has announced a cash prize of Rs 131 crore to Team India after its spectacular victory.

Actually, the Indian team won this title by defeating New Zealand in the final of T20 World Cup 2026. The final match was played at Narendra Modi Stadium, where India performed brilliantly and defeated New Zealand by 96 runs. With this win, India became the first team in the history of the tournament to retain the trophy twice in a row. Apart from this, India has now also become the first team to win the T20 World Cup thrice, further strengthening its success in this format.

BCCI said in its statement that the board congratulates the players, support staff and selectors for this historic achievement and wishes the team continued success in the future.

Even when the Indian team won the T20 World Cup 2024, BCCI had given a huge prize money. This time that amount has been increased by Rs 6 crore. At that time, the team ended the ICC trophy drought after 11 years by winning the tournament without losing any match under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
