The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia. Rohit Sharma is assigned as the captain of the team, along with Jasprit Bumrah being named the vice-captain.
Abhimanyu Easwaran, along with Nitish Kumar Reddy have been given their maiden calls, whereas Mukesh Kumar, Khaleel Ahmed and Navdeep Saini are posted as reserves for this tour.
Also, though there were many speculations about Mohammed Shami’s return to the Indian squad with the Border-Gavaskar series, it looks like he won’t be making a return to the team before next year.
