Harshit Rana Returns India squad For 3rd Odi IND vs AFG: The Indian team, which is performing brilliantly in the three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, has got a lot of strength before the third match. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the inclusion of fast bowler Harshit Rana in the team. India has clinched the series by winning both the initial matches and now its eyes will be on a clean sweep. The third and final match will be played at M. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Harshit Rana returns to the team after recovering from injury

Harshit Rana was away from cricket due to injury for a long time. He completed his rehabilitation at the BCCI Center of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru and successfully passed the fitness test. After being declared fit, he has joined the Indian team in Chennai. This will be his first international assignment after January 2026. Due to injury, he could not even participate in IPL 2026.

Important opportunity before upcoming foreign tours

Harshit Rana has also got a place in the Indian T20 team for the tour of Ireland and then England later this month. In such a situation, a possible opportunity in the third ODI against Afghanistan would be a great opportunity for him to gain momentum in international cricket. His return will give captain Shubman Gill additional options in the fast bowling department.

Impressive performance in ODI career

Harshit Rana has played 14 ODI matches for India so far. During this period, he has taken 26 wickets in his name and has established himself as an effective fast bowler in the limited overs format.
