Women Cricketers Salary: The dominance of women’s cricket in India is increasing day by day. Recently, the Indian women’s cricket team had performed brilliantly in the World Cup 2025 and won the title. India won the title by defeating South Africa in the final. Now BCCI has opened the treasury for women players before the New Year. Now women players are going to get double salary.
BCCI opened doors
At present, women cricketers get very less match fees for domestic tournaments. In the senior women’s tournament, women players included in the playing eleven get Rs 20 thousand per day. Whereas reserve players are given Rs 10,000. Junior players are given Rs 10,000 for joining the playing eleven, while reserve players are given Rs 5,000. In such a situation, on an average a senior female player could earn only about Rs 2 lakh in a season. But now there has been a bumper increase in the salary of women players.
Salary doubled
Now the players included in the playing eleven in the senior women’s tournament will get Rs 50 thousand. Whereas reserve players are going to get Rs 25 thousand. Whereas in T20 matches the amount has been increased to Rs 25,000 and Rs 12,500. Apart from this, in the junior tournament, the playing eleven will get Rs 25,000 and the reserve players will get Rs 12,500 daily. In T-20 this amount has been halved, i.e. Rs 12,500 and Rs 6,250.

Jai Shah also changed the picture
Earlier, when Jay Shah was the Secretary of BCCI, he took a historic decision and made the salary of Indian women players equal to that of men. Now Indian women players get the same salary as male players, Rs 15 lakh for a Test match, Rs 6 lakh for an ODI match and Rs 3 lakh for a T20 match.
