BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia: Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Devjit Saikia has praised the groundsmen of Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. Actually, due to continuous rain for the last few days, the condition of the ground was very bad and it seemed difficult for the match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings to start on time. However, due to the hard work of the groundsmen, the match started on time and there were no problems of any kind on the ground.
Praising the groundsmen of Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Devjit Saikia took to his social media account ‘X’ Wrote, ‘Salute to the unsung heroes behind the scenes.’ Despite continuous rain for the last several days and showers that lasted almost an hour before the scheduled time, the match between Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings started on time at the Barsapara Stadium.

Rajasthan Royals won the match
The hard work of the groundsmen also went in favor of Rajasthan Royals. Rajasthan performed brilliantly and defeated Chennai Super Kings by 8 wickets. Batting first, the entire Chennai team collapsed after scoring 127 runs. 8 batsmen of the team could not cross double figures. Jamie Overton scored the maximum 43 runs for Chennai.

In bowling, Joffra Archer performed brilliantly for Rajasthan, taking 2 wickets for 19 runs in 4 overs, while Nandre Berger took 2 wickets for 26 runs. Rajasthan achieved the target of 128 runs in 12.1 overs by losing only 2 wickets. For Rajasthan, Vaibhav Suryavanshi batted in a stormy style and played a strong inning of 52 runs in 17 balls. Whereas, Yashasvi Jaiswal remained unbeaten after scoring 38 runs in 36 balls.
