Before playing against England in the first match of the upcoming T20I series, Mohammed Shami took part in the first practice session. As the Champions Trophy is coming close, the speedster would be having high expectations to leave a decent mark on the field.

Shami bowled hard in the practice session before the first T20I on January 22, set to be held at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. The speedster has shown great signs before he got his call back into international cricket.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video of Shami’s first practice sessions with the Indian team as if to mark the veteran pacer’s return to international scenario. The clip showed Shami bowling in the nets, partaking in drills, and even conversing with bowling coach Morne Morkel. At the end of the video, Shami was seen giving autographs to the fans who were present at the venue.

Since Shami is a member of the Champions Trophy squad, all eyes were on him. Former South African pacer Morne Morkel, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and batting coach Sitanshu Kotak were also a part of Shami’s practice.

India playing England in the T20I series will have a great benefit as Shami marked his spot in the squad. The team will try to create a significant impression after the BCCI has implemented strict rules and regulations.
