According to reports, Indian Test and ODI captain Shubhman Gill may be honored with the “Cricketer of the Year” award at this year’s BCCI Annual Naman Awards. His excellent batting and leadership skills have taken Indian cricket to new heights in the last one year.
BCCI to honor Shubman Gill with Cricketer of the Year Award
Naman Awards organized by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are given every year to honor the best performance of Indian cricketers. This time, it is learned that many veteran players will be honoured.
According to reports, former Indian captain and coach Rahul Dravid will be honored with the Colonel CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award. Young Mumbai player Ayush Mhatre is likely to receive the Lala Amarnath Award for the best all-rounder in local limited overs cricket.
Apart from this, the veteran captain of Indian women’s cricket team, Mithali Raj is also being considered for the Lifetime Achievement Award.
