BCCI will not give 7 crore salary to any player? Virat-Rohit will get Rs 3 crore
Desk: BCCI, the world’s richest cricket board, has decided to make major changes in the Central Contract. According to media reports, BCCI is going to remove A+ grade from the central contract. There are stalwarts like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja in A+ grade and now all four will have to face a big salary cut. Let us tell you that under BCCI’s Grade A Plus contract, players get Rs 7 crore annually, but now this grade will not be there. Now BCCI will keep only three categories, which will include A, B and C grades.
If reports are to be believed, there is going to be a big decline in the salaries of Rohit and Virat Kohli. Both these players will be shifted to B grade. At present, B grade players get Rs 3 crore annually. Meaning now Virat-Rohit will get Rs 3 crore instead of Rs 7 crore. Jadeja can also be shifted to B grade. Whereas Jasprit Bumrah can shift to A grade. The question is whether BCCI will still pay Rs 5 crore salary to A grade players, if this happens then Bumrah is also sure to suffer a loss of Rs 2 crore.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India has given central contracts to a total of 34 players, out of which 19 players have C grade contracts. At present there are a total of five players in B grade. 6 players have been kept in Grade A. There are four players in A+ grade.
