Jasprit Bumrah may get a big gift, BCCI is considering promotion in central contract

Indian team Big news is coming out about star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. After the change in the central contract, there was a possibility of his salary decreasing, but now the board is looking for a new way regarding this. According to the report, preparations are underway to give full respect to Bumrah according to his performance.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI has made a major change regarding the Central Contract 2025-26. This time the A+ category has been removed, which may affect the salaries of many players. After this decision, the earnings of a big player like Jasprit Bumrah may come down from Rs 7 crore to Rs 5 crore.

Let us tell you that Grade A+ category was for those players who had confirmed their place in the team in all three formats. But after Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s retirement from T20 and ODI and Ravindra Jadeja’s withdrawal from T20 International, only Jasprit Bumrah was left in this category. But this year in the new contract list, Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja have been included in Grade A and the A+ category has been removed.

However, now there are reports that the board is looking for a new way to improve this situation. Bumrah has been performing consistently in all three formats for the last several years and has been a permanent member of the A+ category. In such a situation, the board does not find it right to suddenly reduce his salary.

According to a report in The Times of India, BCCI is considering how Bumrah can be given the same benefit of Rs 7 crore as before. This means that even if the category has changed, they will not be allowed to suffer any loss according to their performance.

In fact, earlier players falling in A+ category used to get Rs 7 crore annually, while players in A, B and C grades used to get Rs 5 crore, Rs 3 crore and Rs 1 crore respectively. But this time only A, B and C groups have been made in the new list. This change has not only affected Bumrah. Spin all-rounder Axar Patel has also been placed in Grade C, even though he has performed brilliantly in recent times. In such a situation, questions are also being raised about his grades.

Overall, the board can now change the contract value to do justice to its top performers, so that the morale of the players remains intact and they are properly rewarded for their performance.
