Be it Wireless connectivity or Strong hybrid engine… Renault Duster top class in all these!

  • Be it wireless connectivity or strong hybrid engine
  • Renault Duster top class among all!

Renault Duster has made a strong comeback in the Indian market. Launching in March 2026, the SUV is priced at a starting price of ₹10.49 lakh (ex-showroom). Hyundai Creta has been the most popular SUV in the segment for a long time, but now the new Duster comes with several features that make it stand out. Both the SUVs are strong in their respective niches, but the Duster is clearly superior in some respects. The Duster comes with Google Maps inbuilt.

The biggest advantage of the new Renault Duster is its built-in Google Maps feature. Google Maps is integrated directly into the infotainment system. Also, it has features like Google Assistant, connected car technology and over-the-air updates. The advantage is that the driver does not need to connect his mobile phone every time. On the other hand, this feature is not available in Hyundai Creta. Navigation in the Creta requires the use of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This means that without a mobile phone the full benefits of the maps are not available. The Duster also excels in wireless connectivity.

Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are available from the Evolution variant of the Renault Duster. This means, customers don’t need to buy a more expensive model to get these features. Although the Hyundai Creta gets wireless connectivity from the base EX variant onwards, the feature is not available in some of its top-end models. Duster offers a more convenient and better experience.

More mileage due to powerful hybrid engine

The most distinctive feature of the new Duster is its 1.8-litre strong hybrid E-Tech engine. This engine produces 160 hp and 172 Nm of torque. This saves fuel and provides a pleasant driving experience. However, its hybrid model is likely to be launched around Diwali 2026. On the other hand, the Hyundai Creta does not currently have a powerful hybrid engine option. The car is available with 1.5-litre petrol, turbocharged petrol and diesel engine options.
