Tata Aircraft Complex inaugurated: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Spanish Government Chairman Pedro Sanchez jointly inaugurated the Tata Aircraft Complex for the manufacturing of C-295 aircraft at the Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL) campus in Vadodara. Addressing the people after the inauguration, he said that some time ago the country had lost its great son Ratan Tata. If Ratan Tata were among us today, he would have been very happy. Today India is working rapidly on this plan. There should be no delay in planning and implementing. The planes made from here will also be given to other countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “Today the defense manufacturing ecosystem in India is touching new heights. If we had not taken concrete steps 10 years ago, it would have been impossible to reach this level today. No one could have even imagined it then.” India can manufacture defense related goods on such a large scale, but we decided to walk on a new path, set a new target for ourselves and today the result is in front of us. We increased private sector participation in defense manufacturing, made the public sector efficient, converted armament factories into seven major companies, strengthened DRDO and HAL, created two major defense corridors in UP and Tamil Nadu. Many such decisions filled the defense sector with energy.
