Before the start of IPL, Virat Kohli’s special message to RCB players, said- do not waste even a minute of any session.

Bengaluru: Charismatic batsman Virat Kohli on Saturday urged his Royal Challengers Bangalore teammates to ‘switch on’ and say they do not have to waste even a minute of their practice session as they prepare to retain the IPL title. During the first practice session at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Kohli said that the same spirit has to be maintained on the basis of which he had won the title last year.

Kohli said, “We have worked hard in the last two-three seasons due to which we could achieve this feat last year. Now the path will be more difficult because other teams will also give a complete challenge. RCB has to play Sunrisers Hyderabad in the first match on March 28 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Kohli said, “We do not have to waste time. If we want to stay ahead then turn on the switch. Not a single minute of any session is to be wasted. We will have to give our 120 percent in the next two and a half months.

RCB has included Venkatesh Iyer, Mangesh Yadav, Jordan Cox, Vicky Ostwal and Satwik Deswal in the team. Head coach Andy Flower said, “The auction was very interesting and our team has improved. We have taken some great players. It will be exciting to have him as a part of RCB with established players led by Virat and Rajat.

He also said, “This year things will be different because now we have won the title. It is a matter of pride for all RCB fans, but now the last season has passed and a new challenge is ahead. It is very exciting and we have come to win the IPL.” Wicketkeeper batsman Jitesh Sharma said, ”Everyone is very happy to meet each other. It feels great to meet and practice with all the coaches again.”
