Beghdadi Eghbali identifies gaps and suggests what needs to be changed at Chelsea

Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali has admitted the club must improve key areas of its squad as part of its ongoing rebuild. His latest comments provide a clear indication that Chelsea FC could adjust their transfer strategy in the coming windows.

Speaking about the current project, Eghbali stressed the need to add more ready-made players who can deliver immediate impact. “We’ve got to be better on a few things, to add more ready-made players at this part of the project, to take it to the next level, to be consistent over time,” he said.

Chelsea have focused heavily on signing young talent in recent seasons. While the approach has built a strong foundation for the future, inconsistency on the pitch has raised concerns. The team has struggled to maintain form across competitions, which has affected results and overall momentum.

Eghbali acknowledged the imbalance and highlighted the importance of experience within the squad. “We recognise we need balance. We have world champions, we have Champions League winners, we have elite young players. Experience has developed now,” he added.
