Beirut Attack: After Israel’s strike in Beirut, Iran gave a big warning, said now it will have to answer
Tension has increased greatly after the air attack by Israel in the southern area of Beirut. Iran has made it clear that it has seen its ‘red line’ crossed and will no longer remain silent. After this attack, senior Iranian officials have warned that a response will be given soon.
Warning from Iranian officials
Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, said on Sunday that a response to Israel’s attack would come soon. He wrote on social media X that Lebanon is his life and violation of Iran’s ‘red line’ will not be tolerated. Similarly, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf condemned the attack and said that there will be answers for these crimes.
Senior army officers have also continued their preparations. Major General Ali Abdollahi said that the Iranian army is on full alert and they are ready to attack the enemy.
what does israel say
On the other hand, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Israel will not tolerate firing on its border. The IDF reported that they targeted a Hezbollah command center in the Dahieh neighborhood of Beirut, from where attacks on Israel were being planned.
America and the world’s reaction
US President Donald Trump has condemned this attack. He said that this attack on Beirut should not have happened because there is talk of a peace deal between America and Iran. He appealed to all parties to remain calm so that the agreement can be preserved. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said talks were underway with Pakistan’s help, but said that if Iran wanted a deal to be reached, it would have to back off Hezbollah.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres also criticized Israel’s attacks, saying they could jeopardize peace efforts.
