Belinda Clark Award: Annabel Sutherland again wins the Belinda Clark Award, Beth Mooney loses by three votes
Melbourne: For the second consecutive year, all-rounder Annabel Sutherland has been awarded the Belinda Clark Award, the highest annual honor given to a female cricketer in Australia. Sutherland, with 77 votes, narrowly defeated Beth Mooney, who received 74 votes, for the honor. Alana King came in third place with 56 votes.
Sutherland said, “It was a surprise for sure, but it is a huge honor and I am very grateful to win the Belinda Clark Award – it is named after a legend of the game.”
“Knowing that I have contributed over the years is always the goal. “I want to continue to contribute to this team and contribute to the team’s success first and foremost. Now we are all looking forward to the upcoming series against India, which starts with the first T20 International tonight.”
Across all formats, Sutherland took 27 wickets at an average of 15.63 and scored 250 runs at an average of 41.66. He was also awarded the 2026 ODI Player of the Year. On the other hand, Mooney was given the T20 Player of the Year award.
