Stokes will also not be able to participate in the IPL mini auction in future. According to the new rules of this auction, players who have not participated in the mega auction of IPL cannot participate in the mini auction also.

Stokes made his debut in 2011

Stokes made his debut in international cricket in 2011. Till now he has played 107 Tests, 114 ODIs and 43 T20 International matches. He has retired from T20 International cricket. He had also retired from ODI cricket but returned from retirement for the ODI World Cup 2023.

Stokes is currently the captain of the England Test team. The ICC World Test Championship is being played since 2019. The England team has not been successful in reaching the finals even once. England will not be able to reach the final this season also. The England team is currently in sixth place. The Indian team is at number one. Whereas Australia's team is at second place.
