These days Rahul Banerjee was playing the lead role in Star Jalsa’s popular serial ‘Bhole Baba Paar Karega’. In this connection, the entire shooting unit had reached Talsari near Digha. It is being told that after the shooting was over, Rahul went for a walk on the seashore with the lead actress of the serial and enjoyed the water. During this time, he got hit by the waves and started drowning in deep water. When the technicians present there saw him drowning, they immediately ran to save him and somehow pulled him out.
Confirmation of actor’s death
On behalf of the Federation, Digant Bagchi has confirmed this painful incident. He told that when Rahul was taken out of the water, he was breathing. He was immediately taken to the nearby Digha hospital, but he died on the way. However, it is not completely clear yet whether the real cause of death was drowning in water or whether he had suffered a sudden heart attack. East Midnapore District Police has officially confirmed the death of the actor.
Will be revealed after post mortem
In this case, Additional Superintendent of Police of Purba Medinipur district, Atish Biswas said that according to the initial information, the death seems to be due to drowning, but the police is investigating every aspect closely. The situation will become completely clear only after the post mortem report comes. His body will be handed over to his family only after the legal process and autopsy are completed.
