This surge in AI coincides with the strong performance of the office market. According to CBRE’s India Office Figures Q4 2025 report (released in January 2026), India’s office leasing is set to reach a record 82.6 million sq. ft in 2025. ft. (up ~1% on an annual basis). **Bengaluru** led with 26%, followed by **Mumbai** (18%) and **Delhi-NCR** (17%). Bengaluru’s dominance in AI hiring is linked to its status as the Global Capability Center (GCC) capital of India, which will account for more than one-third of national GCC leasing in 2025.
Top AI domains include **Engineering** (Software/QA foundation), **Data Science & Analytics** (common in Delhi-NCR), and **Customer Success/Service/Operations** (growing in Bengaluru/Mumbai for real-time business impact). CBRE expects AI applications to grow in **marketing**, **communications**, and **consulting** as integration increases.
