Bengaluru Horror: Woman Arrested for Allegedly Killing Partner in Planned ‘Proposal’ Setup
A chilling murder case has emerged from Bengaluru, where a 27-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly setting her partner on fire in what police describe as a premeditated act disguised as a romantic proposal.
The victim, identified as Kiran, was reportedly lured to the accused’s residence in Ajanapura on Tuesday morning. What began as a seemingly harmless meeting turned into a brutal crime that has shocked the city.
‘Foreign-Style Proposal’ Turns Fatal
According to police investigations, the accused, identified as Prerana, allegedly convinced Kiran to participate in what she described as a “foreign-style proposal.” She reportedly blindfolded him and tied his hands and legs to a chair.
Trusting her, the victim did not resist. Moments later, she allegedly poured petrol on him and set him ablaze. Unable to escape, Kiran died on the spot.
Premeditation Suspected by Police
Authorities believe the crime was carefully planned in advance. Investigators have indicated that petrol was arranged beforehand, pointing to clear intent.
Initial claims by the accused—that she discovered Kiran on fire after stepping out of the washroom—were contradicted by CCTV footage and evidence, which showed that the victim had not brought any fuel with him.
Disturbing Detail: Incident Allegedly Filmed
In a deeply disturbing revelation, police stated that the accused allegedly recorded the entire act on her mobile phone. Officials say this detail highlights the extreme brutality involved in the crime.
Possible Motive: Relationship Dispute
Preliminary investigations suggest that the couple had been in a relationship for nearly a year and worked together at a telecom company. Police believe tensions had been escalating, with the accused reportedly upset over being ignored and the victim’s refusal to marry.
Investigation Ongoing
The accused is currently in police custody, and further investigation is underway to establish the full sequence of events and confirm the motive behind the crime.
