Bengaluru loses film society stalwart George Kutty

Bengaluru’s cultural and cinema community is mourning the passing of George Kutty A.L., a respected figure in the city’s film society movement, who passed away on Monday, April 21.

George Kutty was widely known for his long association with the Bangalore Film Society, where he served as secretary and played a key role in promoting meaningful cinema.

He was also the editor of Deep Focus, a publication recognised for thoughtful and serious writing on cinema.
