Bengaluru Murder Case: Police found Mahalakshmi's killer, accused's body found hanging from a tree in Odisha

New Delhi: A big revelation has happened on Wednesday in the heart wrenching Mahalakshmi murder case of Bangalore. The fourth person whom the police was searching for in many cities thinking him to be the murderer has now been caught by the police. But the sad thing is that the police have found him dead and not alive.

In fact, the body of Mukti Ranjan Roy, whom the police was chasing, was found hanging from a tree in Odisha. His suicide note has also been recovered. In which he has confessed to killing Mahalakshmi.

The police had identified the accused

Police had already identified the prime accused Mukti Ranjan Roy in the Mahalakshmi murder case. According to police sources, the accused was absconding since the murder. Police had started searching for him in several states. Now police have found his body hanging from a tree in Odisha. It is being told that a suicide note has been found near his body. In which Mukti Ranjan Roy has confessed to the murder.

A few days ago, the body of a woman was found cut into pieces from her house in Bengaluru. The woman's name was Mahalakshmi. Her body was recovered from the freezer. Police believe that the prime suspect in the incident, who killed Mahalakshmi and cut her body into 59 pieces, has allegedly committed suicide in Odisha. Her body was found hanging from a tree. The accused is said to be Mahalakshmi's lover.

The accused has gone to the village

Confirming this, the police said that the body of Mukti Ranjan Roy was found in a village under Dhusuri police station in Bhadrak district of Odisha. The local police have informed the Bengaluru police personnel who are searching for the suspect in the area. According to initial information, Roy had gone to his village on Tuesday, but after that he left the house and his body was found on the outskirts of the village. The family has identified his body, which has been sent for post-mortem by the police.
