When the woman returned home around 4 pm, the accused attacked her with a knife and later strangulated her. After the incident, he fled with more than 100 grams of gold jewellery.

Police caught the accused like this in 6 hours

Nelamangala Town Police of Karnataka capital registered the case and scanned the surrounding CCTV footage. Town Police Inspector Bharat Gowda said that with the help of CCTV analysis and local intelligence, the accused was arrested within six hours. Stolen jewelery has also been recovered.

A conspiracy was hatched to repay the loan

During interrogation, the accused confessed that he was heavily in debt. To repay the debt he planned a robbery. When the woman protested, he killed her.
