A major accident due to strong storm in Betul district, the roof of the school collapsed, five children and a teacher injured

On the one hand, due to storm and rain in Bhimpur development block of Betul district of Madhya Pradesh, crops were ruined due to waterlogging in the fields, while on the other hand, five children and a teacher were injured when the roof of Ratanpur Integrated School collapsed. The local teacher said that a sudden strong storm blew off the roof of the school, when studies were going on in the school. Three children have received minor injuries, while two children have received serious injuries. A teacher has also been injured.

Panic in the area due to collapse of school roof

It has been raining continuously in Bhimpur block since recent days. The strong storm that hit Ratanpur area on Saturday caused heavy damage to the roof of the school. After this incident, an atmosphere of panic was created in the area. There were children present in the school at the time of the incident, who were immediately taken to a safe place. A major accident was averted due to the wisdom of the teachers. The injured children and the teacher were first taken to Chicholi Community Health Center, from where in view of the critical condition of four children, they were referred to District Hospital Betul. Treatment of the injured is continuing. The injured children include Akanksha father Ramkishore, Kajal father Shankar, Omprakash father Shishupal, Ranjit father Ramnath and Arnav father Dhanu.

Major accident averted due to alertness of teachers

Teacher Vishwanath Shukla told that this school runs from class 1st to class 8th, which comes under Bhimpur development block. Due to sudden strong storm and rain in the afternoon, the tin roof collapsed, injuring children and teachers. All the injured were taken to Chicholi for treatment, from where four children were referred to the district hospital. His condition remains critical and treatment is underway.
