Beware of using free Wi-Fi on the streets! A little forgetfulness can cause great harm

Wi-Fi. What everyone uses for free internet while spending time away from home. Be it crowded cafes or airports, stations – Wi-Fi is our companion everywhere. But you know what can be forgotten little danger! Actually there is no danger. It is not understood who is plotting the murder and where. Especially in this world of cyber-crime! So it is better to be careful. Know in detail.

Remember, cybercriminals always change the name of Wi-Fi to something that looks like an official name! The purpose is clear. To avoid creating any doubt among the users. If you see that you want to enter a network, you are being redirected to an unfamiliar login page or asking for unnecessary permissions, be careful. Again, if the speed is very low, be careful.

Turn off automatically connecting to a network in your laptop or phone settings. So don’t fall into any trap.

There are many apps that silently continue to provide data even when connected to public networks. Having a privacy firewall app in place will prevent such backdoor exchanges. As a result, only the app you open will connect to that network.

Open a separate account. Keep it active when traveling. Keep personal information to a minimum. As a result, even if the account is somehow infected, you will not be in great danger.

Many times when entering a Wi-Fi network it asks to log in. But beware! Check if there is a valid security certificate without entering a random password. Click on the padlock icon. Then take a look. If you see anything suspicious in the certificate, don’t log in.
