Bhagwant Mann appeared before Shri Akal Takht, Punjab CM said after the appearance – ‘I do not have the courage to do this’

Amritsar15 January. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann appeared before Sri Akal Takht Sahib on Thursday. During this, he sat with folded hands on the ground in front of Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj in the secretariat of Shri Akal Takht Sahib and gave his clarification during the appearance of about 40 minutes.

After appearing before Sri Akal Takht Sahib, CM Mann said, ‘As a humble Sikh, I have paid obeisance to the Supreme Sri Akal Takht Sahib as per the orders given by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. When I appeared before Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj showed me the complaints made against me, I explained them thoroughly. Singh Sahib has directed that we will assemble five Singh Sahibans (Sikh Gurus) and decide on the path and cleanliness suggested by you and then further instructions will be given.’

He said, ‘Being a servant of Punjab and the Chief Minister of Punjab, I have given a copy of the complaints I had made about the shortcomings in the Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee to Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj. I have copies of the complaints I have given. This matter is very serious. Singh Sahib has assured that we will look at the papers tomorrow and take a decision. Now Singh Sahib has to take a decision in this regard.

Bhagwant Mann further said, ‘I also made it clear that a story is being created on social media that I am challenging Shri Akal Takht. I have bowed my head before Shri Akal Takht. I told him it was not so. I neither have the courage nor the importance to do so. I could never even think of such a thing. Singh Sahib has said that we will take a decision on this soon. Whatever decision Singh Sahib takes, it will be final.

‘I AI Also clarified about the video‘That’s a fake video’

Chief Minister Mann said, ‘I have also given clarification about the video of my AI going viral on social media. I have told Singh Sahib that this video is fake. Singh Sahib can get it investigated from wherever he wants. That video is completely fake, I am not in it at all’

Giving information in a press conference in the presence of Bhagwant Mann, Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj said, ‘The basic principle of Shri Akal Takht Sahib is to keep everyone’s welfare at the forefront. According to the principles of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji, humans can make mistakes, but Guru and God never make mistakes. When someone commits a mistake in the name of Guru Nanak, especially when it is connected with government authority, the duty of Sri Akal Takht Sahib increases further.’

During his appearance at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Bhagwant Mann gave clarification on all the issues during a long discussion. The discussion took place in a very comfortable and respectful atmosphere. During this, issues related to Sikh Code of Conduct, Dasvandh, Gurudwara Management, Golak and some previous videos were discussed. The CM admitted that he did not have complete knowledge of the Sikh Code of Conduct and Sikh principles and assured that in future he would not comment on religious issues without understanding. Sri Akal Takht Sahib is open to anyone who comes to present his case with humility.’

Matters of sacrilege were also discussed on this occasion. Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh said, ‘Making a special law in this regard is also being considered. Also, the complaints received from abroad and the disputed videos will be technically investigated and the truth will be brought out. The Jathedar finally appealed to all to rise above politics on religious issues and follow the principles of love, humility and Sikhism.
