Bharat Bandh Latest Update: People may face difficulties in their banking work today, February 12th. More than 10 employee organizations, bank unions, and over 300 million workers across the country will be on strike today. Farmers’ unions are also observing the Bharat Bandh.
This will also impact the daily activities of ordinary people. Road blockades are likely to occur in various parts of the country. If you have pending work, ensure you leave home before leaving home. You may find that your work is interrupted due to the Bharat Bandh.
Bharat Bandh Today
On Thursday, a Bharat Bandh will be observed at the call of employee organizations and farmers. Operations at government banks across the country are expected to be affected. The Bharat Bandh may also impact government offices, schools, colleges, markets, buses, transport, and roads.
Farmers’ unions are likely to participate in this Bharat Bandh, making it more visible. According to Amarjeet Kaur, General Secretary of the All India Trade Union Congress, 10 employee unions and 300 million workers will participate in this Bharat Bandh. Banks, government offices, and transport operations will be affected in more than 600 districts.

Employees and trade unions have called for a Bharat Bandh. The All India Bank Employees Association, All India Bank Officers’ Association, and Bank Employees Federation of India are also participating in this Bharat Bandh.
Ten central trade unions, including INTUC, AITUC, HMS, CITU, AIUTUC, TUCC, SEWA, AICCTU, LPF, and UTUC, have also supported this strike. In addition, farmers’ organizations have also supported banking services. Banking services will be completely disrupted during the Bharat Bandh. State Bank of India, UCO Bank, and Bank of Baroda have already informed the BSE that their banking services may be affected due to the strike on February 12th.
These services will continue despite the Bharat Bandh.
Bank branch operations may be affected due to the Bharat Bandh. However, some services will continue. ATM services, mobile banking, and UPI services will remain operational. Hospitals and essential services will remain uninterrupted. Train services will not be affected by the Bharat Bandh. However, you may experience some difficulty reaching stations and airports.
