Bharat Bandh:A widespread impact can be seen across the country on February 12, as many central trade unions have called for a nationwide strike with the support of farmer organizations. Due to this proposed ‘Bharat Bandh’, life in many states is expected to be affected.

The organizers of the strike claim that more than 30 crore workers can participate in this movement. The Joint Forum, which represents ten central trade unions, has clarified that the strike will be held as per the schedule.

Why has Bharat Bandh been called?

According to the leaders of labor organizations, this protest is against the labor reform policies and macroeconomic decisions of the central government. He says that the four recently implemented labor laws weaken the rights of workers and reduce employment security.
