Kartik Aaryan’s horror comedy – Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is finally released. The movie is expected to give good competition to Rohit Shetty’s action thriller – Singham Again.

Kartik Aaryan’s fans are over the moon as his much-anticipated film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 finally hits the big screens. Anees Bazmee’s horror-comedy was one of the most awaited movies of the year. However, Kartik’s film faces tough competition with Rohit Shetty’s action-thriller Singham Again, as both films were released on the same day, November 1, 2024. According to industry tracker Sacnilk.com, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is expected to earn around Rs 25.87 crore on its opening day. It is the latest horror-comedy to hit theatres following Stree 2, which became 2024’s biggest hit, breaking records and emerging as the highest-grossing Hindi film ever in India.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the horror-comedy sold over 5.5 million tickets for 9,901 shows across the country, grossing approximately Rs 17.12 crore. Reports indicate that the movie was released on around 3,000 screens in India. As for occupancy, industry trackers noted that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s morning shows saw a 50.67 per cent occupancy rate, while afternoon shows reached 81.86 per cent, with the highest rate recorded in the evening at 83.90 per cent.

Cities such as Lucknow, Jaipur, and Mumbai experienced the highest occupancy rates, while the national capital, Delhi, had a 75.33 per cent occupancy rate. In an interview with DNA, Anees Bazmee addressed the clash between the two films, stating, “The clash was unavoidable. A person can only control their own film, not the other. I feel these situations were different before.”

He added, “Films used to release at the same time with understanding and respect. Now, with media hype and fan clubs, some negativity enters the scene, but we remain positive. I am very happy for everyone, as the Singham Again team are all friends. I hope both movies succeed.”

Meanwhile, the expected day 1 box office collection of Singham Again is higher than Anees Bazmee’s film. Rohit Shetty’s action-thriller is expected to mint between Rs 30 to 40 crores on the opening day. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 stars Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, Madhuri Dixit, and Vidya Balan in lead roles.
