Bhoot Bangla Box Office: Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ has already created such a blast in the weekend that his fans were waiting for a long time. This film has come as a big relief for Akshay who has been continuously struggling at the box office after the lockdown and now it is fast moving towards becoming a big hit.

Between 2000 and 2010, the duo of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan had given many superhit comedy films. After about 16 years, both of them were seen together again in ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and this reunion was welcomed by the audience. The film is getting positive response regarding its comedy, which has strengthened its collection. The film had started creating a good atmosphere right from the paid preview held after 9 pm on Thursday night. The film had a great start with earnings of Rs 3.50 crore. After this, the film earned Rs 14.40 crore on Friday and recorded an opening collection of around Rs 18 crore.

On Saturday, there was a jump of more than 50 percent in the film’s collection and it earned Rs 21.75 crore. The momentum of the film continued on Sunday also and with strong ticket sales, ‘Bhoot Bangla’ made a net collection of Rs 25.60 crore. In this way, the film has made an excellent net collection of more than Rs 65 crore in the first weekend.

After the lockdown, Akshay Kumar’s films were not getting much success at the box office. But ‘Bhoot Bangla’ has shown signs of changing this trend. Earlier, only three of his films had collected more than Rs 65 crore in the first weekend, which included franchise films like ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Housefull 5’.

After the lockdown, most of the horror-comedy films that were successful were those that were part of a franchise or universe. But ‘Bhoot Bangla’, despite being an original film, is performing brilliantly, which is a positive sign for the industry. The film is also getting good benefit of word of mouth. Now the real test of the film will be from Monday’s collection. If ‘Bhoot Bangla’ maintains a stronger hold on Monday than on Friday, then this film can prove to be a big hit at the box office.
