IPL 2026: IPL 2026 had a good start for Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The first match of this season was played by Royal Challengers Bangalore against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In this match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar took 1 wicket for 31 runs in his spell of 4 overs. Now RCB will play its second match against Chennai Super Kings on 5th April. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will have a chance to create history in this match.

By taking one wicket against Chennai Super Kings, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will become the fast bowler taking the most wickets in IPL history. Bhuvi has taken a total of 199 wickets in 191 matches so far in IPL. He has bowled at an average of 27.35 and economy of 7.69. Now by taking one wicket, Bhuvneshwar Kumar will become only the second bowler to take 200 or more wickets in IPL. Whereas he will become the first fast bowler to take 200 wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has played for a total of 3 teams in IPL so far. He made his IPL debut for Pune Warriors in 2011. He remained a part of this team for 3 seasons. After this, in Bhuvi 2014, he joined the team of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has spent 10 seasons in Sunrisers Hyderabad. Bhuvi was a part of SRH from 2014 to 2024 and performed well. In IPL 2025, Royal Challengers Bangalore added Bhuvi. Now he has been a part of RCB for 2 seasons. His performance last season was good. Now it will be interesting to see how Bhuvi’s performance was in IPL 2026.
