After this match, Bhuvi has 21 wickets in his name in IPL 2026. The special thing is that for the fourth time in IPL history, he has become the bowler to take 20 or more wickets in a single season. Seeing his excellent form, speculations about his return to Team India also increased on social media.
‘Not thinking about a comeback’
However, Bhuvneshwar Kumar himself did not pay much attention to these discussions. In a video posted by RCB on social media, he clearly said that at the moment his focus is not on returning to the Indian team. According to Bhuvi, now he does not make long-term goals because earlier when he did so, things did not go according to him.
He said that playing more than 200 matches in his career and taking consecutive wickets in powerplay and death overs is a big achievement for him. Bhuvi admitted that he has worked hard in the last few years and the results of the same are now visible on the field. The veteran fast bowler also said that at this moment he does not feel too emotional about his records or achievements. However, he admitted that when he is away from cricket, perhaps these memories will become more special for him.
